# PopJunk Serials > Free collector tools, a blog and a letter for comics, science fiction and fantasy from every medium. The site is published by an unsigned house desk. Tool data is sourced and dated; each source is linked on the page that uses it. Tools run in the visitor's browser and send nothing anywhere. ## Short answers - What does it cost to grade a card or comic? The grading cost calculator and the guides price 5 grader price lists (CGC Comics, CGC Cards, PSA Cards, Beckett (BGS), TAG). Every fee, cap and turnaround is copied from the grader's own price page. Prices were read between 2026-11-01 and 2026-11-01; the date is shown beside each table. - Where do the numbers come from? Each fee links to the grader's own page and carries the date it was read. Machine-readable copy: https://popjunkserials.com/data/graders.json - What are the first appearances of well-known comic characters? The key issue lookup lists 25 first appearances, each with the issue, cover date and a link to the page that states it, read up to 2026-11-01. It carries no prices. Machine-readable copy: https://popjunkserials.com/data/keys.json - What are the odds of pulling a hit from packs? The pack odds calculator uses the formula 1 minus (1 minus 1/N) to the power k, where the maker states 1 in N per pack and k packs are opened. It holds no pull rates of its own. - Do the tools send my entries anywhere? No. Ledger entries and calculator inputs stay in the browser's local storage. ## Pages - [Home](https://popjunkserials.com/): Free grading cost, pack odds, collection ledger and key issue tools for comics, science fiction and fantasy collectors.
